3/4 cup sugar
1 8-ounce jar maraschino cherries
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Beat sugar and eggs. Drain cherries, reserving juice, and chop cherries. Combine flour and baking powder and add alternately with the cherry juice. Fold in the chopped cherries and nuts and mix until well combined. Pour into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
