4 16-ounce cans fruit (peaches, pears, pineapple, apricots, etc., or the equivalent of fresh fruit
4 Tablespoon melted butter
4 Tablespoon vinegar
1/2 Cup brown sugar
1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
Maraschino cherries, optional


Spread fruit evenly in shallow casserole dish. Mix together the butter, vinegar, brown sugar and tomato sauce and pour over the fruit. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes. It may need slight basting while baking to glaze all the fruit. May garnish with cherries. Serve with breakfast casserole or baked ham.
