12 large cucumbers
8 medium onions
2 green peppers
1/4 Cup salt
5 Cup vinegar
5 Cup sugar
2 Tablespoon mustard seed
1/4 Teaspoon cloves


Grind cucumbers, onions and peppers. Add salt. Let stand in juices for 3 hours and then drain. Bring vinegar, sugar, mustard seed and cloves to a boil. Add drained ground vegetable mixture and return to a boil; boil for 3 minutes. (No longer, or mixture will darken.) Pour into small, sterilized jars and tighten lids.
