2/3 Cup sugar
1 Teaspoon cinnamon
2 Cup fresh apple slices
2/3 Cup margarine
3/4 Cup flour
2 Teaspoon baking powder
1/4 Teaspoon salt
3/4 Cup milk

Add 2/3 cup sugar and cinnamon to sliced fresh apples. Mix and set aside. Melt margarine in 6 x 10-inch baking dish. Mix the remaining ingredients to make a batter. Pour batter over melted margarine. Do not stir. Add apples and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour. Batter will rise to the top and will be brown and crisp when done. (You can substitute other fresh or canned fruit for the apples.) Good served with ice cream or whipped cream.
