1/2     cup quinoa

                  Water to cover

       3/4     cup almond milk

       1/2     cup water

           2     tablespoons honey or maple syrup

       1/2     teaspoon cinnamon

       1/2     teaspoon almond extract

       1/8     teaspoon salt

           1     10-ounce package frozen berries, thawed

Place quinoa in a bowl and cover with water. Allow to soak overnight. Drain and rinse quinoa and place in a saucepan. Add remaining ingredients, stir to combine and heat to boiling. Cover pan, lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Serve with sliced almonds and honey or maple syrup drizzled on top.
