2 9-ounce packages frozen French-style green beans, thawed

6 slices bacon, diced

1/2 cup diced onion

1/4 cup flour

2 chicken bouillon cubes

1 1/2 cups water

1/8 teaspoon pepper

1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Place beans in a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Cook bacon and onion for 10 minutes or until bacon is browned and onion is tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in flour until blended. Gradually add in 1 1/2 cups water, bouillon and pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce is very thick. Gently stir sauce with beans. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until mixture is hot and bubbly.
